For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that Allah gives us chances to do good even when we cannot control the outcome. Our responsibility is to use the means available, work hard, ask Allah for help, and trust Him with the results. Remembering the hereafter keeps us on a moral path and helps us enjoy worldly life with balance. Small kindnesses such as smiling, helping, clearing a harmful object, and caring for others are valuable. We can begin each morning by asking Allah to help us benefit our family, community, Muslims, and all humanity, then end the day grateful.
