Today's khutbah taught that al-wafa', or faithfulness, is a core part of Islam. Faithfulness begins with keeping our covenant with Allah by worshipping Him alone. It also means showing parents kindness, praying for them, obeying them in what is right, and honoring their friends. Marriage requires a serious promise, so spouses should preserve affection and gratitude, following the Prophet's example with Khadijah. We should also respect sincere scholars, seek their knowledge, and remember them in prayer.
