For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that Prophet Muhammad is beloved because Allah praised him, chose him as the final messenger, and made him a mercy to the worlds. Loving him means more than speaking about him; it means learning his life and following his example. The Sunnah is a complete way of life that can guide how we think, speak, dress, eat, and treat people. We were encouraged to show mercy to our families, neighbors, fellow Muslims, non-Muslims, and all of creation. We should also keep the oppressed, the deceased, and everyone facing hardship in our prayers.

  1. Where can we show more mercy in our family this week?
  2. What is one Sunnah we would like to learn and practice?
  3. How can we listen to the khutbah with better focus next Friday?
