For the dinner table

The khutbahs taught that modesty is more than clothing; it is a quality of the heart, speech, relationships, and character. It should protect marriages, shape how we treat family, and guide gentle private advice instead of loud or harsh correction. The second sermon urged believers to build strong communities through prayer, service, and shared responsibility. We should fulfill our personal duties and care for our families, then identify unmet needs and take a real role in meeting them. We should plan our time, careers, and resources so community work is not left to a burned-out few.

  1. Where could our family show more modesty or gentleness this week?
  2. What community need would you like to help with, and what could be your first step?
  3. How can we serve others while still caring properly for our family responsibilities?
