Love for the Prophet means following Sunnah

MALV · Yousuf Rashid

“At least once a day, we should read the seerah.”

The khateeb, at 9:47

Because the Prophet Muhammad's sacrifice and mercy brought us faith, genuine love for him must be expressed by learning his life, practicing his Sunnah, and frequently sending blessings upon him.

For the dinner table

The khutbah reminded us that Allah sent Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam as the best example and a mercy for all people. The Prophet sacrificed greatly for our iman and remained concerned for his ummah, even when people harmed him. Loving him is more than saying we love him; it means learning his life, following his Sunnah, and letting his example guide our actions. We can nurture this love by learning one new fact about him each day, practicing a Sunnah, and sending salutations upon him. Families can help one another make the Prophet’s teachings part of everyday life.
