For the dinner table

Today the khateeb taught us that the prophets and messengers are the best of all people Allah created, and that Allah raised some of them above others. Allah gave them special gifts no one else has. These include receiving revelation, never making mistakes when passing on Allah's message, and being protected from major sins. When the prophets slept, their eyes rested but their hearts stayed awake. Before they died, they were shown their place in Jannah and given a choice, like Musa, who chose to go to Allah. The prophets did not leave money behind as inheritance. They left knowledge, so whoever holds on to that knowledge has received a great share.

  1. If the prophets left knowledge instead of money, what is one thing you learned this week that you want to hold on to?
  2. Musa chose to meet Allah instead of living many more years. Why do you think he made that choice?
  3. Which prophet's story would you like to learn more about, and why?
