For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah gave us four simple habits for living Islam’s ethics. We should avoid matters that are unclear, while keeping our hearts from becoming consumed by dunya. We should leave what does not concern us, but still serve society through meaningful real-world action. Before we speak or act, we can ask why we are doing it and whether our intention is sincere. These habits help us live with balance, wisdom, and purpose.

  1. When has social media made something seem right just because everyone was doing it?
  2. What is one way to spend less time scrolling and more time helping someone?
  3. What question can you ask yourself before posting or saying something?
