For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah taught that Allah’s mercy should shape every part of life, even difficult matters like food, conflict, and earning a living. The imam connected humane treatment of animals with fair treatment of customers, coworkers, neighbors, and the wider community. He warned against exploiting people or earning through harmful businesses, and urged believers to respond to wrongdoing with their hands, words, or at least rejection in the heart. He asked us to draw clear moral boundaries and help build a just, compassionate community.

  1. Where did you notice mercy today, and where could you show more of it?
  2. What makes earning money fair or unfair?
  3. How can our family respond when we see something wrong?
