For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that many people regret living for others’ approval instead of staying true to their principles. As Muslims, we should put Allah and our deen first, even when school, work, friends, or social media make that difficult. Before making a choice, we can ask whether Allah would be pleased with it. We should also treat our families with ihsan for Allah’s sake and speak about Islam with wisdom and confidence. The khutbah ended by remembering oppressed Muslims and encouraging support for Rohingya orphans.

  1. Where might it be hard to stand out for the right reasons?
  2. What decision could you bring to Allah’s pleasure test this week?
  3. How can our family show ihsan to one another today?
