For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah taught us about Allah’s name As-Salam, the source of perfect peace, safety, and protection. Because Allah is As-Salam, real peace comes through obeying Him, following the Quran, and staying away from injustice, arrogance, envy, and harmful speech. We should carry that peace into our homes, schools, workplaces, and neighborhoods by keeping others safe from our tongues and hands and by greeting people with salam. The speaker reminded us that a sound, peaceful heart is what we hope to bring before Allah, and that Paradise is Dar as-Salam, the home of peace.
