Quotes
In the khateeb's words
“the Quran is not just to be read, it's to be lived.”
“You should ask, hey, is it okay for me?”
“It's not your job to make them listen. It's your job to give the Nasihah in a nice way.”
“A word can guide someone. It can change someone's life. It can save someone on the day of judgment. But also a harsh word can close somebody's heart.”

For the dinner table
Imam Ahmed reminded us that the Quran should shape how we live, through reading, reflection, and action. He explained that sincere advice should help someone grow while protecting their dignity. That means speaking gently, asking whether it is a good time, and respecting their answer. Before correcting someone, we should understand why they do things differently and be willing to learn ourselves. He encouraged us to choose companions who help us grow closer to Allah and to do good for Allah rather than for people's praise.
- How would you want someone to help you if you made a mistake?
- What could you say when a friend is not ready to hear advice?
