“If one has impeccable Adab, despite all the corruption that's happening in the world, that person's character will shine bright.”

The story of Yusuf teaches that a beautiful destination can be reached through a road we do not understand. Yusuf faced betrayal, slavery, prison, and temptation, yet he held onto faith, character, and his family’s legacy. His father’s patience and Yusuf’s respect for his parents show how adab can guide us through pressure. We are encouraged to become trustworthy role models for people close to us, especially when they are struggling. The khutbah ends by asking us to honor parents, support siblings and friends, and keep good character in difficult times.
- What difficult experience helped shape who you are today?
- Who can you support when they are going through a hard time?
- What does showing adab to parents look like in our family?
