The khateeb says that charity is more than donating to a building: Muslims should invest in learning, scholars, families, and young people. He asks us to examine whether our values, marriages, media habits, finances, food, and relationships reflect the Quran and Sunnah. He reminds us that death is certain, so a meaningful legacy comes through service, teaching, sadaqah jariyah, and care for the community. Families are encouraged to read a little Quran together, discuss its meaning, respect elders, share household responsibility, and seek Allah's guidance through istikhara. The khutbah ends by praying for oppressed people and welcoming a Christian convert through the shahada.
