For the dinner table

Allah's mercy can reach us in ways we do not immediately recognize, so believers are called to trust His wisdom. The story of Hudaybiyyah shows that the companions had to give up a plan they deeply wanted, and their obedience became a clear victory. Contentment means accepting Allah's decree while doing what is right and disciplining our desires. Every blessing is also an amanah, so we should use it responsibly and strengthen our tawakkul through tests. As Hajj approaches, we should learn its rituals and follow the Prophet's example.

  1. What is one blessing you can thank Allah for today and care for responsibly?
  2. When has a disappointment later taught you something valuable?
  3. What is one desire you can practice managing this week?
