For the dinner table

The khutbah described how Prophet Ibrahim spoke to his father with love and concern, even when his father responded with threats. Ibrahim stayed peaceful and did not let harsh treatment change his kindness. When he eventually left, he continued to turn to Allah in dua and hold on to hope. The khateeb connected Ibrahim’s patience with Allah’s gifts to him, including righteous descendants who continued his legacy. He also reminded us that belonging to a good family does not replace doing good ourselves, encouraging us to practice kindness, patience, and faith through our own actions.
