For the dinner table

The khutbah used the life of Ibrahim to show what wholehearted trust in Allah looks like. Ibrahim rejected idolatry, trusted Allah when he was thrown into the fire, and accepted difficult commands, while Ismail responded with patience and obedience. The Eid sacrifice remembers that test and calls us to offer something for Allah's sake. The khateeb urged us to examine whether we truly follow the Quran and Sunnah, renew our iman daily, and resist doubt and laziness. We were also reminded to remember oppressed Muslims and pair dua with responsible civic engagement.

  1. What is one thing we can give up or do for Allah's sake this week?
  2. What can help us remember Allah and renew our iman before bed?
  3. How can our family remember oppressed people through both dua and helpful action?
