Today’s khutbah taught that Islam calls us to live with balance. The Prophet’s guidance included worshipping Allah while also giving proper attention to sleep, family, the body, and other responsibilities. Balance also means being gentle without weakness, dignified without harshness, moderate in spending, and patient with people. Most importantly, we should judge and treat others fairly, even when emotions or disagreements make that difficult.

  1. Where do you need more balance in your week?
  2. How can we show patience with someone who is difficult?
  3. What makes it hard to be fair when we disagree with someone?
