Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us how deeply the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, loved and cared for his ummah, including people he had never met. He cared about our struggles in this life and our forgiveness and safety in the next. The khateeb shared accounts of his prayers for us, his tears of concern, and his wish to meet those who would believe in him without seeing him. Because he was human, we can relate to his feelings and take his life as a practical example. We can nurture our love for him by learning about his life, following his guidance and character, and sending peace and blessings upon him whenever we hear his name, with extra attention on Fridays.
