For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that having money or nice things is not itself wrong; blessings should be visible through gratitude and generous giving. He then told the story of the Prophet offering his wives a choice between worldly comfort and Allah, His Messenger, and the Hereafter. Their choice showed love for faith, while the Prophet’s calm and beautiful speech during family difficulty teaches us how to handle hard moments. We were encouraged to care for people in hardship and to bring our children to Jumu'ah so worship becomes a lasting habit.

  1. What is one blessing we have, and how could we show gratitude for it?
  2. How should we speak when family problems make us upset?
  3. What could make coming to Jumu'ah a habit for our family?
