Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that loving Prophet Muhammad is not only something we say; it means trusting his guidance and trying to live by his example. Even though we never saw him, our faith and love can grow through learning his seerah, sending blessings upon him, and practicing his sunnah each day. The khateeb especially showed how the Prophet cared for grieving people and treated others with mercy, even when they or their families had opposed him. We can bring that mercy into our homes by noticing people’s pain and offering comfort. We can also share what we learn with the people who come after us.

  1. What is one way our family can show love for the Prophet this week?
  2. Which story from today best teaches us how to comfort someone who is hurting?
  3. What sunnah would you like to practice or teach at home?
