For the dinner table

The khutbah teaches that a good life comes from joining true faith with good actions. Good actions include worship, kindness, helping people, speaking gently, supporting justice, and relieving suffering. Wealth and status can be blessings, but they do not define the good life; righteousness, safety, family, health, dignity, and closeness to Allah matter more. Hardship can test our patience and faith, so we should remember people suffering around the world and ask Allah for relief. We should also notice ordinary blessings like clean water, food, and waking up alive, then respond with gratitude.
