Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

The new Hijri year reminds us of the Prophet’s migration from Mecca to Medina and the sacrifices of his companions. The muhajireen left behind their homes and wealth for Allah, and the Ansar welcomed them with generosity and put their guests before themselves. The imam encouraged us to honor the companions and let their examples shape our own choices. His central message was that loving the Prophet Muhammad, learning about him, following his example, and sending him peace and blessings can transform our hearts and behavior. He also encouraged fasting in Muharram, especially on Ashura, while being mindful of our health and ability.
