For the dinner table

Today's sermon taught that the Prophet Muhammad's birth should be remembered with gratitude and love. The strongest way to honor him is not only through decorations or gatherings, but by learning his Sunnah and practicing his mercy, kindness, forgiveness, and good manners. We were encouraged to ask what the Prophet would do before acting, especially when our selfish desires conflict with his example. We should work to leave behind greed, backbiting, envy, anger, and harming people's rights. Even when change is difficult, Allah values our sincere effort to follow the Prophet.
