For the dinner table

The khutbah teaches that Eid is joyful, but it also points toward the greater joy of meeting Allah and entering Paradise. Ramadan was training in patience, prayer, Quran, charity, and self-control, not an endpoint. We should continue those habits after Ramadan as a sign that our worship was accepted. We should also be grateful for our safety and remember Muslims suffering through war, oppression, hunger, and grief. The sermon leaves us with hope that Allah accepts our efforts and welcomes us into Jannah.
