For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that good character is a central part of following the Prophet and seeking Allah's pleasure. He shared how the Prophet gently taught a man who behaved inappropriately in the masjid, showing us how to correct mistakes with patience and care. Our words and actions affect our relationships and how others receive what we teach about Islam. Growing in good character begins with caring for our hearts through sincere worship, following the Prophet's example, and learning from wise elders and scholars. Every one of us has room to grow, and listening carefully to feedback from the people around us can help us see where to begin.

  1. How could you gently help someone who makes a mistake at school or at home?
  2. What could you do to help someone in our family feel listened to?
  3. Who is a wise older person you would like to learn from, and what would you ask them?
