Today’s khutbah focused on Prophet Isa, whom Muslims honor as one of Allah’s great messengers. The speaker retold how Maryam was chosen, how Isa was born without a father, and how Allah gave him miracles by His permission. Isa defended his mother, called people to worship Allah, and was saved from the plot against him. Muslims therefore love and respect Isa and Maryam while worshiping Allah alone and rejecting the idea that Allah has a son. We can take from their story the importance of steadfastness, trust, humility, and gratitude for correct guidance.

  1. What part of Isa’s story helps you understand trust in Allah?
  2. How can we show respect for prophets while worshiping Allah alone?
  3. What can we learn from Maryam’s patience and courage?
