Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

The khutbah taught us to remember Prophet Muhammad by learning his life, sending blessings upon him, and letting the Quran shape our character. Worship should not be automatic: we should work to be present in prayer, resist harmful impulses, and return to Allah after mistakes. Allah’s mercy is always open, so sincere repentance should be joined with real hope. When someone is struggling, we should approach them with wisdom, patience, compassion, and gentle words. At home, that means asking Allah to soften our hearts and practicing mercy with spouses, children, and one another.
