Freedom to worship brings greater accountability

Quotes
In the khateeb's words
“yet the greatness of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala can never be completely noted down in completion”
“but so long as they cling to their deen and they adhere to the education of their deen you will see that deen will remain alive amongst them”
“that's what the deen teaches us the imam is to be respected the elderly in our community are to be respected compassion is meant to be exhibited towards the younger people in the community”
Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
The khutbah reminded us that Allah is greater than anything we can fully describe or understand. It showed how communities can lose their faith when they stop learning and begin following power, desire, or custom blindly. Islam teaches truthfulness, charity, respect for elders, compassion for children, and care for the wider community. Because we have freedom to worship where we live, we also have a greater responsibility to attend the masjid and practice our deen. We should work together so faith remains strong for the generations after us.
- What is one way our family can support someone who has stopped coming to the masjid?
- Which part of our daily life is most shaped by our freedom to worship?
- How can we help preserve faith for the next generation?
