Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that this world is a temporary stop, like a hotel room on a journey, and that we should prepare for our lasting home in the hereafter. Being different as a Muslim is about our choices and character, including refusing gossip, cheating, and dishonesty. We can hold to those values with humility, without claiming to be better than anyone else. Friends, family, and the masjid can help us feel at home in our faith and inspire us to improve. He encouraged us to tell the truth even when it is difficult, ask Allah for forgiveness, and help one another along the journey.

  2. What could you say if a friend asked you to lie for them?
