For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that worship should shape our hearts and the way we treat people. He encouraged consideration for the different people praying Taraweeh, including children, older people, and those who find long prayers difficult. He told a troubling story about someone rushing to prayer and hurting another person, reminding us to approach prayer calmly. He warned against looking religious while neglecting honesty, good character, and support for people facing injustice, whether they are Muslim or not. His closing message was that honoring the Quran means living by its teachings, with faith showing in our mercy, sharing, words, and actions.
