Repent now and choose halal income

“How is his prayer gonna be answered when everything he's doing is Haram?”

The khateeb, at 20:01

In one sentence

A sincere intention to abandon haram income and strive for Allah opens the door to guidance and provision, so Muslims must repent and choose halal sustenance immediately before death forecloses the chance.

The khateeb reminded us that the Quran calls us to hurry toward Allah’s forgiveness instead of delaying repentance. He explained that Allah knows what is in our hearts, and sincere intentions joined with real effort can lead to guidance and better outcomes. He warned that repeatedly giving in to sin can make the heart stop recognizing what is right and wrong. The khutbah especially emphasized choosing halal work and trusting that our provision comes from Allah, not from haram choices. We should take the opportunity to change now and help our families grow up knowing that obedience to Allah is worth more than temporary gain.
