For the dinner table

The khutbah reminds us that Islam is a gift and should never be treated as a joke. Mocking its beliefs, rituals, Prophet, or Sunnah, or helping such mockery spread, can harm a person’s faith, and close companions influence our attitudes. We are encouraged to follow Allah’s guidance rather than treating personal desires as our only guide. When we encounter mockery, we should respond wisely by advising gently, speaking up when able, and rejecting it in our hearts. We should honor our religion and be good ambassadors for it, especially for younger Muslims.

  1. How can our friends influence the way we treat our religion?
  2. What is a gentle way to respond when someone makes fun of Islam?
  3. What does it mean to be a good ambassador for Islam?
