Let Eid renew your contentment with Islam
“Allah has already given me a religion.”

- Introduces the prophetic practice of affirming contentment with Allah, Islam, and Muhammad three times morning and evening.
- Applies this contentment to worship, ethics, family relationships, and treatment of the poor and needy.

Quotes
In the khateeb's words
“Allah has already given me a religion A way, a lifestyle That is far better”
“This is not merely lip service But something for us to embody within our chest Within our hearts and to live by”
Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
The khateeb reminded us that Allah is greater than everything and that Islam is a complete way of life. He encouraged us to affirm three times each morning and evening that we are pleased with Allah as our Lord, Islam as our religion, and Prophet Muhammad as our prophet. These words should reach our hearts and guide our choices, including how we handle difficulties and treat our families, neighbors, and people in need. He urged us to follow the Prophet’s example in our speech, worship, and behavior, whatever we are feeling. As we enjoy Eid together, he reminded us to pray for those who are suffering and asked Allah to fill our families and homes with faith.
- What is one way you could follow the Prophet’s example in how you speak tomorrow?
- How could we show more kindness to someone in our family this week?
- Who could we remember in our du'as while we celebrate, and what could we do to help them?
