Allah's gifts, including wealth, are blessings that call us to gratitude and responsibility. The khateeb taught that true righteousness includes spending from what we love, with sincerity, to help people in need. Giving can be private, or public when it encourages others, and we should respond to hardship even before someone asks. The sermon urged support for people affected by the Nepal floods and others facing oppression and disaster, while trusting Allah's promises of reward and provision. In our own lives, we should give regularly, serve others, and stay patient when we are wronged.
