Following Muhammad's guidance means cultivating a sound heart, disciplining anger, guarding speech, and leaving what does not concern us through memorized and practiced hadiths.

When anger rises, change your position, leave the house, walk, remember Allah, or come to the masjid.
Speak only what is good, and remain silent rather than joining backbiting or mockery.
Memorize the four hadiths and apply them in daily life.
Leave matters that do not concern you and focus on the blessings Allah has given you.

For the dinner table

Today's khutbah teaches four parts of following the Prophet's guidance. We should keep a sound heart by wishing good for others, control anger before it grows, and speak only what is good. We should also leave matters that do not concern us and appreciate the blessings Allah has already given us. The imam encouraged us to memorize these teachings and practice them every day.

  1. What is one good thing you can wish for someone else this week?
  2. What helps you calm down when you feel angry?
  3. What is one blessing you sometimes overlook?
