For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that real honor does not come from status, culture, winning arguments, or other people’s approval; it comes from Allah. The Prophet’s experience in the Battle of the Trench showed the value of seeking counsel, working alongside others, and trusting Allah when circumstances look weak. We are called to humble ourselves, control the ego, forgive, and respond in the best way, even when we feel disrespected. Living for Allah means choosing His guidance over pride, habit, or cultural pressure. We can seek forgiveness, remember Allah, follow the Prophet, and ask Allah to honor and protect people who are suffering.
