Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

The khutbah teaches that wronging people is a serious matter before Allah. Allah will hold us accountable not only for neglected worship but also for unpaid debts, cheating, broken promises, gossip, slander, and harm to others. A person may bring prayer, fasting, and zakat yet lose those good deeds by refusing people’s rights. At home and in business, we should speak honestly, keep promises, return what we owe, and protect people’s dignity. Allah’s justice reaches every creature, so we should repent and repair wrongs before the Day of Judgment.
