Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that Allah has given believers a heart that can recognize right and wrong, especially when a choice is unclear. Righteousness brings peace to the soul, while sin often leaves us uneasy even if others approve. Personal feelings never replace clear guidance from the Quran and authentic Sunnah. We can practice this by treating people gently, being honest, and walking away from choices that trouble our hearts. May Allah give us clean hearts and help oppressed people everywhere.

  1. When have you felt uneasy after making a choice, and what did you learn from that feeling?
  2. What is one way you can show gentleness or good companionship at home this week?
  3. Why should clear Quran and Sunnah guidance matter when our feelings disagree?
