For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah taught that adab means treating people with courtesy, patience, and respect. Good manners include gentle speech, letting others go first, and showing consideration even in small moments. The khateeb emphasized that real kindness is offered because it is right, not because we expect something back. Remembering that Allah sees and hears us can help us act honestly and humbly. Following the Prophet and Ahl al-Bayt helps us protect the honor Allah has given human beings.

  1. When did someone show you patience or kindness without expecting anything back?
  2. How might remembering that Allah sees us change one choice we make tomorrow?
  3. What does arrogance look like in everyday family life, and how can we respond to it?
