For the dinner table

The khutbah teaches that the Quran gives us examples so we can learn how to live. Musa and Qarun had blessings such as status, knowledge, and wealth, but Musa used them for truth while Qarun became proud and corrupt. We should care for our needs without letting endless wants control us. When Allah gives us extra wealth, education, or influence, we should use it to help others and do what is right. The sermon reminds us to be grateful by turning our blessings into service.
