Integrity means aligning faith and action

“It all starts with the inner state.”

The khateeb, at 1:39

In one sentence

Integrity grows from a truthful, self-aware relationship with Allah that is nourished by beneficial knowledge and righteous companionship, then expressed through justice, mercy, responsibility, and courage to speak truth.

The khutbah in 6 steps

For the dinner table

Integrity, the sermon says, is when what we believe inside matches what we say and do outside. We grow it by learning about Allah and ourselves, reflecting on the Qur’an, and choosing sincere friends who help us live with truth, mercy, justice, and responsibility. The mosque should be a welcoming home where people learn, encourage one another, and practice faith together. As our faith becomes more genuine, we gain courage to speak the truth and stand for what is right. The imam closed by praying for purified hearts and for people suffering in Palestine, Sudan, Yemen, and elsewhere.
