For the dinner table

The khutbah reminded us to be grateful for Allah’s visible and hidden blessings. Wanting a career, home, or financial security is not wrong, but worldly ambition becomes harmful when it controls us or makes us neglect prayer, family, and good character. Allah cares about what is in our hearts and how we treat people, especially when no one is watching. The story of Asma bint Abi Bakr showed courage in protecting the truth even when powerful people applied pressure. We should trust Allah with outcomes and take whatever honest, helpful action is within our ability.

  1. What is one thing you want that might be taking too much space in your heart?
  2. How can you show good character when nobody else is watching?
  3. What small truthful or helpful action could you take this week?
