For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that the Prophet is one of Allah’s greatest blessings. The people closest to him on the Day of Judgment will be those with the best character. That character appears in how we treat our spouses, children, relatives, neighbors, and everyone around us. We should work intentionally on humility, compassion, kindness, and wisdom, while asking Allah to improve our hearts. The khutbah also ended with prayers for people suffering in Gaza, Palestine, Sudan, and elsewhere.
