Advice should follow the Prophetic way

“If Allah is telling Musa to go and talk to a despicable person like Fir'aun in a gentle way, then how should you and I talk to our family members?”

The khateeb, at 20:33

In one sentence

For the dinner table

The khutbah teaches that naseeha should never be delivered through mockery or harshness. We should speak gently, stay patient when people do not change quickly, and avoid taking their reactions personally. When someone advises us, we should respond with humility and listen to the message rather than judging the messenger. The imam also asked the congregation to make dua for Gaza and its families, and to raise awareness and support appropriate efforts for Dr. Aafia Siddiqui. The overall lesson is to correct people with mercy and receive correction with an open heart.
