For the dinner table

The khateeb introduced ihsan as doing things sincerely for Allah and doing them well, not merely getting them done. He said ihsan begins in small habits, such as making the bed, because steady effort shapes better decisions over time. It should show up in worship, including the things we watch, listen to, and say before prayer, and in caring for the body Allah entrusted to us. With family, especially parents, we should not obey wrongdoing but should still treat them with good companionship. We should make our best effort and leave the results to Allah.
