For the dinner table

The khutbah reminds us that the Day of Arafah and the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are precious opportunities to draw closer to Allah. We can do that through dhikr, fasting, repentance, and faithfully praying our obligatory prayers. We should also look honestly at repeated sins and work on their root causes. The speaker encourages us to forgive people, repair broken relationships, and feed those who are hungry. These acts of worship bring personal forgiveness while also helping families and communities facing hardship.

  1. What distraction or temptation do you want to remember that Allah is greater than?
  2. Who is someone you could forgive, thank, or reconnect with this week?
  3. What small daily dhikr or prayer goal could you keep during these sacred days?
