Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

The imam taught that believers are like one family and should help repair relationships when conflict arises. The Quran warns us not to ridicule people, assume the worst, spy, backbite, or judge others by race, language, or culture. The Prophet’s teachings show that faith includes being trustworthy, caring about others’ pain, and making neighbors feel safe. We were encouraged to read and reflect on the Quran at home and to respect people even when we disagree. The guest speaker also urged the community to stand with people who are targeted and to make that commitment locally.
