Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

This khutbah reminded us that every person has dignity because Allah created and honored human beings. But true greatness is not about wealth, status, or simply saying we are important; it is shown through faith, taqwa, prayer, good character, and fulfilling responsibilities. Our parents, spouses, relatives, neighbors, and fellow worshippers see our character, so we should treat them well and serve our parents. We should not trade our values for worldly benefits, because our true worth is greater and Jannah is the right reward to seek. The khutbah closed by asking Allah to make us people of faith, goodness, and support for oppressed Muslims, including those in Gaza.

  1. What is one way we can show good character at home today?
  2. Which responsibility do you want to handle more faithfully this week?
  3. Who has helped you get closer to Allah, and how can you thank them?
