Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that rahmah means mercy, comfort, and compassion. He described the Prophet Muhammad as someone who cared for people, stood up for a harmed community, and wished for guidance even for those who rejected him. He challenged us to let our faith shape how we treat others, including admitting mistakes and respecting their rights. At home, he encouraged smiles, embraces, and loving words so that our nearest and dearest feel our care. His closing message was to bring comfort to someone every day and ask Allah to help us grow in these qualities.

  1. What could you do tomorrow to help someone feel comforted?
  2. What helps you feel loved and relaxed at home?
  3. When you have hurt someone's feelings, what could a caring apology sound like?
