For the dinner table

The khutbah taught that good character is at the heart of Islam. The Prophet was sent to perfect noble manners, and our character shows the strength of our faith. We should practice taqwa, make good deeds after mistakes, speak only when our words help, avoid lies and needless arguments, and treat family, neighbors, and colleagues kindly. At home especially, we should be humble, gentle, and free from superiority. These everyday choices can bring us closer to Allah and to the Prophet and weigh heavily in our favor in the Hereafter.
